Casting Call for ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reunion Special for REAL fans

Casting directors are now casting Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Fans to appear in the upcoming Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s 30th Anniversary Reunion Special on HBO Max. 

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Do you have a burning question that you’ve always wanted to ask? Do you want to show off your moves?  Record yourself for 60 seconds or less performing your version of The Carlton, Jump On It, or literally any of the Banks Family’s legendary dances

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s 30th Anniversary Reunion Special is coming to HBO Max this November and we want YOU to be part of the celebration! If you have a burning question that you’ve always wanted to ask or if you want to show off your moves, all you have to do is record yourself for 60 seconds or less performing your version of The Carlton, Jump On It, or literally any of the Banks Family’s legendary dances before sending your self-taped routine OR record yourself asking your question before sending the video our way along with your contact info (name, age, email address) to freshprince30@westbrookinc.com by Wednesday September 9th, 2020. In celebration of the 30th-anniversary of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the Banks family is reuniting on television.

According to reports,  Will Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and DJ Jazzy Jeff will be filming the unscripted special on September 10, which is the exact release date of the hit sitcom. At the same time, the episode will premiere on HBO Max this Thanksgiving.

The cast will discuss the cultural impact the show had since it first debuted in 1990 and is described as “a funny and heartfelt night full of music, dancing, and special surprise guests, in honor of the series that ran for six seasons and 148 episodes.”

Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Westbrook Media company is developing the project. It will be directed by Marcus Raboy and executive produced by Miguel Melendez, Lukas Kaiser, Brad Haugen, and original showrunner Rikki Hughes.

According to reports, the new version will be a dramatic reboot of the hit Will Smith TV series and will be based on Morgan Cooper’s viral video. Cooper’s viral video reimagined the NBC comedy series as a drama called “Bel-Air.” The video reached more than 5 million views on YouTube. Variety reports the show is getting pitched to multiple outlets, including HBO Max. Cooper will co-write and direct the series and will also serve as a co-executive producer. Chris Collins will work as the show’s showrunner and executive producer through Westbrook Studios. Also, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and original series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz will work on the project. Westbrook Studios and Universal Television will produce the ‘Fresh Prince’ reboot.
